This year's Red Wings team has been riddled with injuries and struggled all year. Right now they are on the cusp of the playoffs laying in 9th position just one point behind both Nashville and Calgary. With a 5-1 win last night against the Minnesota Wild they now have a 3-2 record since the Olympic break. In my opinion the Red Wings need to achieve the 90pt plateau to make the playoffs but are 14pts away. With 15 games left they must now play with a sense of desperation.
